My family is relocating from Boston to Columbus, Oh and I am researching the area to find the best town to buy a home in. We have two children (11 and 8). I would like to find a nice neighborhood with lots of young kids. My husband will be working in Columbus so I would like to keep the commute to under 30-40 minutes. Any advice would be very helpful!!! Thank you!!!

We were in the same situation this summer (7 and 10 year old). There is not a simple answer. There are many good options to live in the Columbus area. A lot depends on your budget, school criteria, and where you fall on the "distance to downtown vs newer/larger home" spectrum. Even most of the outer suburbs will be within a 30-40 minute commute, so areas such as Lewis Center, Powell, or New Albany (a bit more expensive than the other two) would be good places to start due to the number of families with younger kids. Hilliard on the west side maybe another one, but I am less familiar with it. As you can read on the site, there are many other great options to choose from, depending on what you are looking for.
