Default Moving to Plain City, Ohio

Hi All! I am coming home to Ohio after 10 years away, yes I really want to. We miss the seasons, people and country... Central Florida is the pitts! Husband is taking a job in Columbus. We have enjoyed living in small towns with excellent school districts for our two children. After many hours online I think Plain City is the answer... any suggestions to the contrary? Anyone know of houses for rent up that way? Can't find anything online via postings, newspapers, etc. Thanks for any info!

My post got removed from putting a website on here but i would suggest searching Plain City Homes and there is a website with many on it... I couldn't tell you much about rent in Plain City, but I have lived there all of my life and could tell you anything else you need to know

jajosh07 thanks for the suggestion. What was it like growing up there? My kids still have a lot of that to do! I am looking for place where they can play in the yard and ride their bikes without "fear". We have always managed to live in locations where they have been able to experience being a kid similar to my own youth... commonsense but freedom to explore! :<)

It is a very pleasant small mid-western town... I enjoyed growing up here, the school system is great, and it is a very safe place, I can not remember a time that there was a major crime committed here... There is a very large park at the north end of town with a playground, nature trail, track, baseball fields, basketball courts and the Village pool... there are also plans to build a park on the south side in 2008... There was recently a bypass built after 25 years or more of discussion to reroute semi-traffic outside downtown so that downtown revitalization could take place... Over the past few summers i worked as a lifeguard at the pool and many of the kids rode the bikes alone to the pool every day even from across town... There is an Christian hangout for kids with an arcade and things called The Cove near downtown... The best things about Plain City are that it is still a small town that feels like a real community where everyone knows each other and at the same time it is close enough to the "big city" that you can work there and go there whenever you need the mall or something like that
