Its a great community with top-notch schools. Its very attrative area with many nice homes, and nice areas outside of the town. One thing that i dont like is the growth. Delaware is the county seat of Delaware County which is the 12th fastest growing county in the nation. Its a nice area though. Safe, great schools, and high paying job region. I wouldnt mind living there. Its about a 30 minute drive from Columbus.

Thanks, Paintballer! I've read many of your other posts on OH and found your info helpful.
What are taxes like in OH? Ours are killer here in PA--one of the reasons we're considering a move.
And what is the weather like? Is it humid there? Tornadoes? How many sunny days to cloudy? Any ideas on where to find that info out?
Thanks again.

Sunny to cloudy is just like PA. I am also a Pennsylvania transplant living in Ohio. Everytime i go back home i am amazed to see the taxes. That is one reason im glad i left. The taxes are some 4-5 times lower in Ohio than in PA. Tornados are going to happen, but very rarely. Esp around Columbus because it is a little more hilly. More towards NW Ohio you experience that, but Ohio doesnt get many tornados either. It gets humid in the summer, but around Delaware there are some awesome lakes for boating, swimming and fishing.

Southern Delaware county is an area I am intimately familiar with... do a ton of work in the area, am building a home in the area... needless to say, I like the area a lot.
The schools south of Delaware are primarily Olentangy Local. I would encourage you to download the school report card from the Ohio Dept of Education website. Pretty sure you will like what you see.
Southern Delaware County is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States. Columbus is growing north, Dublin is growing north, Lewis Center is just plain going nutso with growth, Delaware is growing south. But strangely enough, there are many many areas to live with a "country feel". Or, if subdivision is more to your liking... no shortage there either (and most of the subdivisions are new).
Commercial development in southern Delaware is going Strong also. The Polaris area has HUGE development going on. The 23N corridor has landed some awesome new commerce.
The infrastructure is catching up quickly. Rush hour is a bit of a pain coming to and from... but it is getting better. New interchanges off I71 and some smarter main-thoroughfare planning will be a great help. The water and sewer development is REALLY getting much much stronger, and is well under way to alleviate some problems that had occurred a little while back.
If you have any specific questions about this area, I will be more than happy to accommodate.

^ It is just like that here in Mason and Lebanon. Growth is really going quickly, but it still has this small town feel with a slow pace of life. Rush hour can get a little crazy though, as well as the morning rush.

I grew up there and went to school there, in fact I still have family there. It is a great place to raise children, safe, my dad used to leave his front door and back door open and go fishing, no one ever took anything. In fact he had a note posted by the phone "gone fishing out on hogback road", sure enough you could drive out on hogback road and there he'd be fishing. Ohio Weslyan University influences the curriculim in all of the schools there, you can be sure your children will be educated. It is a bit pricey there to live but cheap as well, the south end property values went up with the new developments out off of 23 south. The north end is perfect to buy a home in a decent range of prices, taxes are fairly low there. One thing I will tell you though it is boring as all get out there, there is nothing to do, no night clubs or anything of that nature, a few taverns but other than that nothing to shout about. You can always find employment there, especially when the college students leave for the summer, then the really good jobs open up.
