The most common crime you'll probably have to deal with are smash and grabs where people will break out your car windows. Although I doubt if you're living downtown you'll be parked on the street. Other then that most likely it'll just be a bum or drunk here and there.

When the mall was open/there in downtown they did have problems with kids hanging around and making trouble, but I doubt that's the case anymore.

On here it says crime downtown is at 590.5, but they seem to be including a lot more in "downtown" that's throwing off the numbers.

Haha.....people that know how to handle themselves don't ask for trouble.

I'm not scared to live. As long as you don't start popping your mouth off to anyone nor try to act as if your some tough guy, you'll be fine.

FYI- born and raised in East Detroit, that's why I can roam The D and Chi-town the way I do. I wouldn't have it any other way.

My parents raised me to be able to function in any environment and around any kind of person. That makes you well rounded and gives your perspective. It keeps you sharp.
