Buggyworks
Is that a nice place to live? Neighborhood? How much is to rent?
Good schools around?
Would it be a nice place for a newcomer to move into?

Ok this area is not a "dying area" it is actually of one of the areas in Columbus with highest demand for housing, especially within the downtown boundary. The area is in the "arena district" which is a revived area of downtown. The Nationwide Arena, a brand new park "north bank park", and the new baseball stadium are all next to the development.
The condos are very nice and in a renovated historic warehouse. It is a neat area because the arena district is all new, urban, and dense development and then the Buggyworks sits next to the baseball stadium in a quiet yet historic setting.
The poster who said the area is dying is misinformed and most likely judging the area on its historic nature or older warehouse buildings. Those do not equate the area with "dying" the property values are some of the highest in the columbus city limits and only continue to increase.
I would recommend the area if you want the following:
1) near entertainment and downtown living yet in a quiet setting with brick streets
2) near city parks
3) close to local retail like the short north arts district
4)want a renovated nice loft/condo (some units are for rent)
most of the dwellers would be retired couples, very young couples, or or professional types.
The Columbus City School district is the district for this development. (like most of the central city/downtown.) Most downtowners are in the income bracket where they use private schools, but the CCS school district does have some good schools but they are not in downtown. You would have to enter you child in the lottery for a better magnet school and busing would be provided. Downtown is not as much of a "family" neighborhood but it can be done. The area doesn't offer the "neighborhood" feeling that some areas like the Short north, German Village, Clintonville, do but there is a growing collection of condo/apartment dwellers in the area.
