Looking back on all the recommendations from others that I've gotten. They all were the absolute worst!
Decide what specialty you're looking for (don't forget to also think which Hospitals you'd like to be sent to if necessary) then call the Main Library Reference Librarian and ask for 9/2005 issue of Columbus Monthly article on Best Doctors in Columbus.
They can read the names/phone numbers over the phone to you for those near where you live.
You'll be very glad that you did.
My son had a specialty group of drs. referred to them by his Primary Care Dr, that wasn't getting him well or out of the hospital (1wk).
I found the best of that speciality using the above method. He was transferred to a much better hospital, the dr saw him the next morning and he was out in 3 days. He's now recovered.
The first group did not know that a drug that they said was containdicated got him well. And probably still don't.
The RN on duty at the first hospital absolutely refused to call the dr for a stronger pain med. When HE did, the correct info did not get to the dr or within a reasonable time frame. 3 1/2 hrs later!
That's where I learned not all speciality groups are equal.
Do your own homework on recommendations always.
