Well luckily the only places like that are much further north, around the North Pole.

Maybe "mostly," but we still get a few days a week of sun. That's a far cry from "months on end" without seeing the sun.

If you add up all the days then it is months on end!

You know, 15 minutes of sun at around 4 in the afternoon does NOT qualify as a "day of sun."

andrew0816 is on a distinguished road
I think it is ridiculous that some of you think that we never have sunny weather. Do we have cloudy, cold weather, yes, but it is not as bad and does not last as long as some of you claim.

Moving on, although Columbus has many great attributes, the thing I hate about Columbus is that there is no light rail line/street car line. If Columbus could make an investment in public transit, it would make the city so much better (and more attractive) than it already is.

Not snow, no sun. Grey, dreary skies.

Great post. Again, if a native Southerner has few complaints about the weather here, what is all the fuss about?

And NO, the city does not shut down when it snows. I have no issues driving anywhere I want when we get snow. The only issue is getting out of my driveway - LOL - and that is DH's problem - LOL. Last years blizzard was the only exception - but that really wasn't that bad - REALLY.

Again, be blessed that you have a few more gray days than sweltering sun. Many areas of the south are still in a drought! ATL is working is way out for now, but a couple of weeks of HOT sunny days with no rain could turn things around for the worse.

*Never* have sunny weather? No, I don't think that. But having lived in C-bus for 26 years I can most certainly state that there is an awful lot of gray. Gray gray gray...that's pretty much November through April. Of course you'll get some exceptions now and then, but the sun is not exactly a frequent visitor around that time.
