Smile looking into moving to the dublin area...

hello there. my husband and I are looking to relocating to somewhere in the dublin area. Neither one of us has ever been to Ohio. He has a transfer opportunitywithin the post office. I would love to hear any info anyone has to offer about the neighboring towns and the climate. We would be coming from the NY/NJ area. what's the crime rate like? the cost of living here is getting really pricey. We have lived here all our lives and just don't live comfortably anymore and there is a baby on the way. Anything anyone has to offer would be very helpful. Thanks! and happy thanksgiving everyone.

The Dublin area is a great safe area to live in. It is quite expensive though. It really is booming around this region. Hillard is also a nice place to look into. If you to live in an area that is not so expensive check out Delaware and Worthington. Dublin and Hillard are nice areas though. But the average home prices in these two suburbs are around 600k to 1 million. Worthington and Delaware are equally as safe and close to Columbus, but less expensive. Coming from New Jersey though you can probaly live comfortably in Dublin.

Red face Powell-neghboring suburb

Dublin is pricey though there are certainly options cheaper than the $600,00 to 1 million mentioned. The schools are great and there is very little crime. Powell is another great suburb to consider. They also have great schools and neighborhoods to choose from. There are many options on the NW side that you will love! We are actually getting ready to relocate again and I will definitely miss it here. Good luck!

I lived in Dublin for 4 years and we loved it. People are friendly and the schools are good. It is safe and most people are middle to upper class. Good luck! You can't go wrong in Dublin.

Default Dublin Community

Dublin is the nicest community to live it. Houses start at $300,000 and go up. Easy access to US 33 which is just off of the outerbelt, I-270. A few small restaurants which are very nice. Most large restaurants are off of Sawmill Rd just to the east. A new hospital is being build right now. Dublin has 3 High Schools, the newest of which is Jerome H.S. Dublin has a very large car dealership for European cars. There is a very large soccer field which has multiple games playing on Saturdays.

Dublin is well known in the region as one of Columbus' best suburbs.

Dublin is okay, but just becasue your job is in Dublin doesn't mean that you must work in Dublin. Dublin is a great place to check out and has one of the highest middle class incomes in the metro.

When we say the northern suburbs and sections of Columbus are more expensive, it is expensive for the midwest or greatlakes region, but not compared to the east coast

Worthington is a suburb near dublin as is Hillard.

IF your looking at more expensive areas of Columbus near dublin, there is the NW section of Columbus which was built in mostly the last 30-5 years and has many different housing options some going to the best columbus city schools and others to suburban schools.

Also, there's a neighorhood in northern columbus not far from Dublin called Clintonville.

And, another suburb not far is westerville(its fast to dublin on the highway)

You can certainly find nice housing under $300K in the Dublin school district, particularly in the portion that lies inside the city limits of Columbus. Worthington, Hilliard, Olentangy are other good school districts near Dublin. In any event, your $$$ should go a lot further in the Columbus area than it did in NY/NJ.

Hello Spacey,
The area you are interested in is an upscale subburb of
Columbus, the capitol, with low crime rate, great school system and lots to do in the area. The weather here is for the season it highs in the 20-30's and lows in the teen's, some snow but not a ton, more rain than snow during the winter months. I would like to welcome you to the area and get you settled. lets talk don
