Actually, Columbus and Franklin County have a fabulous metro parks system, better than many cities I have been to. Places such as Whetstone, Goodale, Schiller, Highbanks, Inniswood and Glacial Ridge are wonderful.

One of the things I liked most about Columbus was the Buddha Bowl at Northstar Cafe. That place is a treasure...

For those who do not know North Star is a great local, organic restaurant/cafe that is in the Short North, High St near downtown, and Beechwold (just south of Morse Rd., on High St.)
Northstar is a great little place with great fresh, local food. Even their produce comes from local farmers (when in season.)

Nice to see a thread commenting on the positives and not just the negatives. Columbus has many pros and many cons. I am originally from Boston, and instead of just complaining about how small and boring it is, I have gotten to know the city in the years I have lived here, and have realized it has a lot going for it. Imagine what happens when you chose to think positive once in a while!
Anyway..what do I like most about Columbus?
1.The relatively light traffic.
2.The weather (except in winter..but winter could be worse in many other locales..and no it's not Miami or San Diego, but we don't have to worry much about hurricanes or earthquakes much here). 3.German Village.
4.Cost of living.
5. Abundant greenspace
6. skyline..no not the chili!
7. relatively stable economy..meaning no ONE industry can make or break the city's overall economy, like in Youngstown or Ft. Wayne
8. Blue Jackets, the Arena District, and the Crew. New Huntington Park will be nice too I think.
Does Columbus have negatives and drawbacks? Sure! Nice to see a thread dedicated to the positive though!

There are so many things to love about columbus, first and foremost I would say the size, u get all the perks of a big city (diversity, arts/culture, professional sports) without the drawbacks of a huge population. In the summer months I cant think of many places I would rather b. the only thing columbus doesnt have going for it is weather, winter is a drag and it makes a lot of people leave, but its a blessing in disguise b/c if we had so cals weather we would have so cals population size and it would ruin everything.
that being said I have been in cbus basically my whole life and I am going to try a new location (im thinking denver/co springs, or bay area) but No matter where I go Columbus will always be home!
