Looks like they've upgraded us to a level 3 if you live in Westerville and are located north of county line rd (delaware county). They won't get to the side streets until late, maybe even tomorrow. We're stuck!

It could be because this is a long storm, it strecthes pretty far. Things look brighter for tommorow though. Warmer and sunshine. I still think they should be out all day getting these roads though.

Cities and towns don't usually get to the side streets and neighborhoods until either late in the day or until the storm is over. Considering you guys are having a blizzard down there (actually worse than we are getting it on the edge of the snow belt) i would agree w/the others and say your rd. won't be clear until tomorrow afternoon! The tv said the city of Akron won't get to the side streets until early sunday morning and they are used to getting a lot more snow than the columbus area.

Forgot to mention the wind we are having. I was just watching the weather channel and they are having wind gusts of 40mph up in cleveland. They said w/the wind they are having problems keeping the roads cleared.

This is by far no blizzard.
We got about 14 or so inches over where I am.
I've lived In States that Had Blizzards....
Side roads hardly ever get plowed, from what I've seen.
Been in OHIO just about a year.
I was out - went to the grocery store.

The news just said that we got 21 inches in the last 36 hours. To put this in perspective the average *annual* snowfall for Columbus is 30 inches. This is by far the worst blizzard in Columbus history. I lived in upstate New York for 4 years, and even there I never saw snow this bad.
This is all in addition to a brutal winter that's been extremely cold and with 2-3x the normal amount of snow.
