Default Worthington Hills?

Hi
Me, my wife and 2 toddlers are now considering a move to Worthington Hills...
We know virtually nothing about the neighborhood, but all seems perfect for us
but
what's the deal with the Country Club? We've never lived near one, or really know what it's all about. Is everyone in the area members?
Is it all a bit Stepford weird? We really don't want to get into all that 'keeping up with everyone' stuff. Or is it all just normal?
Can you tell we're actually European! and only been in the US a few years!
any info or advice would really help
regards
jon

I'm not an expert on all things Worthington, but Worthington Hills is a very nice area. It's very upscale and should have a very good resale value when you move back across The Pond some day.

I'm pretty sure there is no requirement to become a member of Worthington Hills Country Club, just because you purchased a home in the Worthington Hills subdivision. I'm sure the elementary school they have within the subdivision is very good.

However, if you're a golfer, I'd recommend joining. I hear the course is very nice, although they probably wouldn't let riff raff like me on it.

Worthington Hills is nice... Its kind of dated c. 80's but I think they threw up a whole host of newer homes in the last 10 years or so as well. The homes are spread apart enough that people can't meddle into each other's business.

The location is VERY convenient, and there use to be a small-scale luxury grocery store down the block on 315 that was really popular. (don't know if it still exists haven't been there in years) The town of Worthington is really cool it's old new england style and looks like it's straight out of CT. (it was settled by CT episcopelians)
