I believe you are right about the best teams out of the best conferences will emerge come December and Janruary. But, please don't get the MAC involved to prove your point. The major difference between the MAC and other conferences is the recruiting mechanism. Do you really think a high school football star who knows he's in the top one hundred is going to choose a MAC school over a big time program? College football is all recruiting, no big name you aren't going to get the best of the best, therefore you won't be a leading conference to even be mentioned about. I can't stop laughing.

The Conference is not the Big Ten, it is the Big 2 1/2, Ohio State, Michigan, and half of Wisconsin. Not only that, the Big Ten has twelve football schools. The SEC is loaded with five possible AP top fifteen, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, LSU. Steve-O telling me the Big Ten is better without giving me any evidence is not to convincing. But, I do appreciate the grammar lesson.

Glad to help! LOL
The SEC is no doubt better. I never said they werent if youd re-read my post. I just dont like SEC because Ive always lived in Big Ten country. Its just a personal preference, thats all. Football is a winter sport, played in the ice and snow and brutal cold. I just dont like teams (NFL or NCAA) that play under palm trees and 70 degree weather, thats just nancy-boy stuff there! LOL

Just tell me this, if OSU routs Florida, UM beats USC, and Wisconson beats Arkansas will you continuue to beat a dead horse that the SEC is stronger or will you admit the Big ten is the best conference THIS SEASON.

You are correct Steve-O, I didn't read you're last quote correctly, that was my mistake. I accused you of claiming the Big Ten as the better conference than the SEC. That was my mistake, plain and simple, my good friend. In an earlier quote you claimed in your words, "SEC sucks," but your current reasoning is the fact the SEC is geographically in a less drastic, winter climate zone than the midwest. We could ask the Big Ten to bring Snow Blower's to every SEC conference game. But, besides that Steve-O, I again appreciate the grammar lesson you gave me, so I'll let you slide old friend.
LOL

Vader, I'm just glad we ain't talking about that mean and tough MAC conference anymore. Have the bowl games been played yet? The last time I checked they haven't been played? This whole thread was forecasting based on evidence, hopefully evidence, of whether Ohio State or Florida was the best team. Later, it became a duel over which conference, the SEC or Big Ten was the best. When the thread began, and when people commented on the thread, did anyone know who was going to beat Ohio State and Florida. No one knows what the outcome of the game was, these are pre-game feelings and assumptions. The same goes for whose the better conference. The conference bowl games have not been played, if what you say is true, I shall eat my words that the SEC is more superior than the Big Ten. But, until these highly touted bowl games are played, tell yourself, then enlighten me, of why I am incorrect to say the SEC is the better conference over the Big 2 1/2. If you cannot, I will continue to beat the dead horse the SEC is the dominating coference of the two.

If you honestly think Wisconsin has any shot against Arkansas, you are smoking drugs. Wisconsin doesn't deserve to sniff the Hogs' jockstraps.
And the UM/USC game outcome has nothing to do with any debate involving the SEC.

I heard down in Florida they dont get Big 10 games. Well in Ohio we get all the games.I doubt youve ever even seen Wisconson on the field, after seeing the two teams Wisc will be competitive. Arkansas probably will have the speed advantange but like I said before SEC gameplay is considerably more sloppy than Big 10. Arkansas will make turnovers, Wisc just has to capitalize on them.
And if UM beats USC, it would only further prove that they shouldve been in the NC instead of second rate Florida. The Big 10 has the poteintial to hold the # 1,2,3 spots in the BCS when its all said and done..If that isnt dominance I dont know what is..

I know the MAC is weak but I brought it up to make a point about college football being based almost totally on ones opinion. Honestly I could care less about conference strength or the rest of the Big 10 for that matter. As long as OSU bring home the glass football Ill be content. It will end debate on who was the best team this year.

So one's opinion is only there opinion until the bowl games are played am I correct. Because you earlier stated which conference will be better after the bowl games or sided with that. Now you say, Ohio State will end the debate of whose the champion after they win the bowl game. Ok I can agree with that.

here's how it goes...
Floridas really desperate to prove themselves...so they're gonna come out runnin and gunnin. IF the gators can get more than 10 points on the board before 1/2 time they've got a shot at not being totally humiliated.
Floridas offense is less than impressive...defense is really good. Ohio is just plain GOOD...no one has the depth of their talents at this time.
I say Michigan should play Florida...now that would be a good game!
Ohio should play USC.
Next year...betcha they eliminate the BCS
Vegas says 9+ Ohio
