Depends on how long of a commute you're looking for and what kind of Church you're looking for as well. Is there anything specificly you're looking for ? IE cell groups , small bible studies, larger church , lots of programs/activities?

King Street United Methodist Church has tons of groups and they even have a college/grad ministry. It's very close to OSU and I found it to be very friendly. I sang in the choir for about a year and everyone was fantastic. They also have tons of activities!

Upper Arlington Lutheran is really awesome (ualc.org). I've been coming to this church since I became a Christian and the fellowship is wonderful. Also, for a Mainline/Lutheran church, the teachings are surprisingly solid and Biblical (doctrinally orthodox) which I really like—compared to much of the silly New-Age hooey that's taught at most old-line/Mainline churches these days.
Other churches in the area that have good Biblical teaching are Northwest Presbyterian (a delightful little church with great people - npc-dublin.org), the Vineyard (vineyardcolumbus.com) and Grove City Nazarene (don't know the website).
May the Lord bless you and guide you in your search

churches
Hello,
Someone already posted this earlier but Vineyard Columbus is a good fellowship with alot of ministry opportunities for singles, families, etc.. Y'all should find something there, it's huge, maybe too big for you. Also check out Calvary Chapel, I think it's on the East side of town off I-70.

Me, too!
Hey, stockdale, my husband and I are moving to Columbus this summer and are also looking for a good church where we can make friends and set down roots in a strong Christian community. I have been doing lots of looking at churches on the internet, but it's hard to REALLY tell what a church is like until you actually visit it! So I don't have any advice for you, obviously, but I'm going to check back on this post, too, to see if there's any more good advice!

Jersey Baptist Church is a good Southern Baptist Church. Use caution in picking a church in the Columbus area. Like most large towns, there are many "Christian churches" here that don't beleive in the Bible. (Most are easy to spot, they won't fly the American flag, but wrap their "churches" in the homosexual rainbow flag).

I agree, Jersey Baptist is a great little church! (Not sure how "little" it is, actually; churches that preach the TRUTH tend to be the ones that grow rapidly...) I was out there w/friends for their 4th of July fest a couple years ago.
You're absolutely right about certain churches in the big city. When I first came to Christ as an adult, I went shopping for the right church and it was astounding to me how challenging that was. Many of the local (Cols.) churches that were historically great are now preaching weird, worldly doctrines that have nothing to do with Scripture. It's all modernist kumbaya crap! One place even recited a "creed" that sounded more like the mission statement of a hippie commune
