Default Hawthorne lakes in hilliard?

Hi-

Is anyone familiar with these condos? I've looked all over- and liked these the best (not necessarily the location, but the condo itself!). They were built about 10 years ago, and have been converted to condos over the last couple of years.

Thanks!

Not familiar with them, but after doing some research found out that they are just south of Feder. They are actually in Columbus (outside and south of Hilliard city limits). Not sure if this matters, but they are also Columbus schools (not Hilliard).

Thanks! I decided against it... They had only sold 50% of the units in the past two years. They seemed way too good to be true- offered all sorts of incentives (interest back for a year, tile and granite upgrades, free washer and dryer, lighting upgrade). There were at least 4 that were for sale- I have no idea how they will be able to sell them b/c of all the competition from the company! The location seems to be in a development of apartment complexes. Two of the apartment complexes are now section 8.

When looking anywhere out on the Far West Side of Columbus (south of and outside of the Hilliard city limits), if people are interested in the schools, they need to do a little research. That area is served by three different school districts (Hilliard, South-Western and Columbus).

Question for CleChi who decided against the Condo. Did you ever find anything in the area you were happy with?

I am an owner at Hawthorne Lakes Condos, I can say that I love my neighbors. We have a quiet neighborhood and we are family here. If I know that I will be away I know that I can count on good neighbors looking out. Yes this place is too good to be true, but it is. The sales have been slow as all or most condo communities due to the recent decline in the housing market and banks not approving anyone for a alone unless you have 10% to put down. However, that i starting to change now and there are tax breaks available agiain to those people who are trying to buy. Don't give up on Hawthorne Lakes.
