Oakbrook Apartments in Reynoldsburg, OH?
If anyone knows that area, I would love to hear about it. I'm a newbie 
What areas should I stay away from? I have kids, and I want them to be safe. |

Reynoldsburg school district isn't the greatest. They are having some funding probelms and will have to let some teachers go. I would suggest looking into Pickerington or Gahanna. Just my 2cents.

Try Pickerington Ridge apartments in Pickerington. It's a pretty nice place - police station is right at the entrance to the neighborhood and its fairly well kept. Lots of kids in the neighborhood I understand, too.

Alot of the apartments on the east side of Columbus and parts of Reynoldsburg are not that great and have section 8 renters in them. I would be very careful when it comes to renting in them. Some complexes are still very nice but you have to do your homework.

Consider Alexander Court in Reynoldsburg. Nice apartments, quiet neighbors and generally well kept-up and maintained. I lived in Alexander Court before I moved to German Village, and had a pretty good experience there.

Slate Ridge Commons is another good one. It's located off Farmsbury Drive off of SR256 not too far from Oakbrook. Safe, quiet, clean w/prompt maintenance a plus. Beautiful pond and grounds. The website is slateridgecomons.com check it out! Good schools but the levy didn't pass so we don't know what to expect. BTW, there are good and bad apartment complexes everywhere. I agree that you do have to do your homework. Word of mouth referrals is one of the best resources you can find. Good Luck in your search!! RB

Quail Hollow Condominiums
Stay away from this condominium development located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio near the intersection of State Route 256 and Livingston Avenue. It is located on the right as you head west on Livingston Avenue. The complex consists of 60 units located on Sawgrass, Springdale and Lake Meadow Drives and is across from Blacklick Golf Course. Criminal/gang activity is widespread and seemingly goes unpunished by the police and condominium association. This is a scary place.

Reynoldsburg has a school income tax and that's a extra pain at tax time, Grove City seems better to me.
