Post Apartments in Grove City

I have pretty much looked at every apartment complex in Grove City. I will be a doctoral student at OSU next year and I am looking to live slightly away from the city. My expectations for an apartment are not too high. Basically, I just want to feel safe.

I visited Orchard Apartments and they have 2 bedrooms at a great value, but it seems too good to be true. I was just wondering if anyone knew about the safety of that area or any other areas of Grove City???

Also, if you could recommend any apartment complex in any suburb of Columbus, that would be greatly appreciated. I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland and went to school in Akron, so I knew very little about the area until I started my apt search.

Thank you in advance for your replies!!

amandaleah,

I havent lived in Columbus for a few year so I cant tell you for sure. I never heard anything as far as crime being a problem in Grove City. I faced the same problem when I moved to Birmingham, Alabama. I didn't know anyone there and didnt have a clue as to what areas were safe. Once I found a few apartments, I went to the Public Information Office of the police department and gave them the names of the complexes. They told me right away what was good and what was not.

I live in GC.

I've heard or read on here, how bad it is. I'm still waiting for some to tell me why?

I've never had a problem. I have the friendliest neighbors...Everyone I have met, is really nice and talkative...

I've heard of more crime in these supposed better "richer" towns - mentioned on here often.

When I moved to GC, or was thinking about it - I did check out other towns. To me, GC gave me a more home-like feel...

How are you? I haven't seen you on here in a while. I haven't moved to Grove City yet but I am still considering it. I read the news every day from all sources for Columbus and areas around and haven't once heard anything bad about Grove City except little petty stuff like shoplifting or something like that. I was also considering the Westerville school district area but I hear more garbage going on up that way then near Grove City. What part of GC did you move to if you don'tmind me asking?

Smile Thank you!!

You guys are awesome!! Thanks for the advice. I never thought about asking the public information section of the police force. I liked Grove City a lot when I visited and am still contemplating moving there.

If you have any questions - just ask me, I'll do my best to answer them.

Mac - I live on the North Side ( I think )

Now, there's some parts of GC that need attention, as far as houses and such.

But there's many, many nice areas....Just like any other town....

I have 2 kids - and I can say, I feel safe with them playing outside and such...I live in a very quiet neighborhood...

Good Luck To both of you!!!!

AmandaLeah,

I just looked at Orchard Apartments online. You aren't kidding when you say they are reasonable. I lived in a comparable sized apartment in Little Turtle (Westerville) in 98-99 and was paying $150 more a month. Wish I would've looked at Grove City then!!!

I would like to know this also. I'm not looking for an apartment but would like to know which ones would not be to good to even live by. How about Highland Terrace apartments? Are they safe to be around or is this a trouble area? I am also looking for someone else too.
