Default might move to columbus!?

I am from a small town in Minnesota and am thinking of moving to Columbus during the summer of 09' after i graduate high school. I'll most likely be moving with a friend and was wondering if we'll be able to afford living there with it being a large city and myself being younger. I looked up some apartments online and was surprised that many were cheaper than places here in minnesota, but I'm wondering, are these places run down and in un-safe neighborhoods? I'm also wondering about what there is to do there. I'm sure theirs alot considering the amount of people and places. I'm also wondering that since living is cheaper there than minnesota, are wages less out there too? and what are the people like in columbus?

I doubt costs or incomes are much different in Columbus compared to places in Minnesota. A decent 1 bedroom apartment in Columbus will cost you about $600 a month.

Columbus housing and rental cost are generally a bit lower than metro Minneapolis, if that helps. I would estimate that Columbus is generally 15-20% lower in housing cost and rent in comparison to metro Minneapolis.
