Default Cell phone service in Columbus: AT&T v. Verizon

My husband is considering cancelling his verizon contract in order to get the new iphone from AT&T. Has anyone had any experiences (good or bag) with AT&T cell phone service in Columbus? Any thoughts on how AT&Ts cell phone service compares to Verizon in Columbus (our experiences with Verizon have been positive thus far, -- no dropped calls, etc.)? TIA!!!

AT&T is decent, just depends where you go. at OSU in the buildings that i personally was in.. AT&T did not work and I had to step out. in the rest of the city it was fine.

there can be dead spots anywhere so its best to check at new house and workplace. on the freeways and outside they should both work.

many of my friends have verizon, and it pricier, but out of the 40 people I know that use verizon i have never heard a single complaint. they even had service in the basement of the building.

if you are set on the iphone.. AT&T should offer a 30 day trial. you might have to try without the iphone and if he gets service, get the iphone package. check with ATT to make sure its posssible. its very very very likely that verizon will work just about anywhere though.

I have ATT and have not had any issues. Most of my phone activity is from 1-70 north. Last month I used it alot around the OSU Hospital and had no issues.

I deliver in the Columbus area and haven't had any dropped calls yet with T-Mobile. Newark can get spotty and there's a stretch of I-70 near Springfield (closer to Dayton) where I tend to drop calls, though.

AT&T is spotty around OSU campus, but no problems in the city at large.

Can't compare, as I've never had Verizon.
