I do know that minerva park is almost its own village/township that is surrounded by the city of columbus on the cities far NE side. Minerva Park residents are known for taking pride in their neighborhood and Minerva is located near many attractions (specifally the Easton Town Center, which is a large outdoor entertainment section of Columbus.)
I am not sure which schools the residents of minerva attend if you are asking about those, and there is a wide variety of housing options in the area.

Minerva park is located in the NE section of Columbus. It is its own municipality with its own police force. This area is quite nice but it borders some less than desirable places. It is located in close proximity to the main Somolian parts of the city. Columbus has one of the highest numbers of Somolian immigrants in the country. Overall though I would say that Minerva Park is a good place to live. I live in Gahanna which is just east of Minerva Park.

Just thought I would add something, children who live in Minerva Park usually attend Westerville City Schools, unless things changed.

Minerva park
I lived in Minerva Park for alittle over a year, in 2007 till 2008 and it was the worst nightmare in my life!!!! My husband had bought a home there even though we were separated and I was to live there with my son and from day 1 I was put thru hell!!! I had even contacted Heather Pick (before she passed away) at the Channel 10 news and she had responded to my email and was getting ready to put something on the news concerning my issues, which grew to be many!! I could go on and on and on so long story made short, I am out of that PRISON, and out of that want a be Stepford Family life and if you would like to know more details then please email me and I would be glad to let you know! I actually lived 2 houses down from the so called Mayor of MInierva park!!

Minerva Park- Horrible place to live!!
My mother bought a house in Minerva Park, and that was the worst decision she ever made! It is like living in a prison! You have no privacy. The whole community knows all of your business. If it is 11pm at night and you decide to run out to the store, the whole village wants to know why you are starting your car at night. I guess you are expected to report your every move to them. If you have family or friends over, the whole village is looking at you, like you broke rules. This is not a good place to live, unless you want a Stepford Wives type of life. I do not recomend this community to anyone! I have also heard from other families that have had terrible experiences that have also moved from there, that this is a very racial discriminating village. These Minerva residents need to mind their own business, and stay out of everyone else's! Even the so-called mayor is an ignorant "human being"!!!!

It's an OK area, but it borders some not-great areas. Also am not sure what all of the "attractions" it is close by to. I guess Easton is somewhat close, but besides that, Cleveland Ave. and Morse Rd. aren't exactly meccas of activity.
It certainly wouldn't be at the top of places I would look to move to.

Hmmn, do LaChica1009 and MRSMUNCIE sound like the same person? Each has one post, and each mentions "Stepford" and the mayor.
I don't care for Minerva Park. It's kind of run down...nothing "Stepford" about the area.

Way to bring back an old thread, but whatever.....
Anyways, don't know much about the area, but generally inner-ring suburbs with cheap 50's and 60's era development generally isn't the best area to invest in, but I'm sure Minerva Park has many redeeming qualities. Still, if anyone out there is looking for housing in the Minerva Park price range, I would still highly suggest looking within city of Columbus borders for higher quality construction and neighborhood.

Unfortunately those two mentioned items you point out are not the first times I have heard them said about Minerva Park and the current mayor. Could be the same person, who knows, but sounds somewhat consistent with what I have heard from others and observed at times over a few years. I don’t know if I would call it run down but I’m sure maintaining some of the houses there is not an easy task given the age and original construction of many of the older homes.
