I think you're giving the media and coaches way too much credit for voting intelligently in November. The people voting in those polls have ridiculously short memories about the circumstances behind wins and losses.

That's true, a bad loss early in the season isn't nearly as damaging as a bad loss late in the season, even if the loss is your only defeat all season.

Oh where to begin...a few bad penalty calls early in the came taking away some scores combined with Tressels awful playcalling and the wheels came off!

Pryor should have been taking the majority, if not all, of the snaps in that game and Herron should be carrying the ball more.

Rematch with USC? Probably not unless USC screw up and losses the National championship title bid.

Last I saw how Illinois got slaughtered by USC, and I thought Buckeyes would do better to win that game. Boy how wrong was I!!

It's getting to be a disgrace to be a buckeye supporter!

You guys forget how hated OSU is outside of Ohio. Now that we have lost 3 straight big games, everyone is thinking we (OSU and the Big Ten) are horribly overrated.

There is no question that the SEC conference right now would walk all over us.

I don't blame Boeckman or Pyror with the loss, but the Offensive Line that didn't make any good blocks and had Boeckman knocked down 12 times during the game. We can't get into 3 and long every time and actually win the game.

ohio states team can compete. The problem they have are those 2 slow/skinny wide receivers that can't get open for ANY quaterback.

The lack of talent/speed at wide receiver is what has done in the buckeyes the past 3 primetime games.

big play receivers stretch the field and give your running backs more room because teams respect your deep threat.

big play receivers help you get 1st downs to keep drives a live and keep offenses like USC off the field and off rythm.

until the buckeyes can bring the skill position back to the days of consistently having a terry glen, ted ginn style receiver they can't compete on the big stage.

They were able to last for a quarter against florida before ginn's "presence" finally left the field when people realized he wasn't coming back to save the buckeyes.

Having TP get his reps in and gain exposure should help lure big play recruits away from the state of Florida who's parent's don't want them going to school in the sunshine state.

Ginn was fast, but he was never that great of a receiver. He is not a great route runner or have great hands, he is just fast. Look at his performance in the NFL, and the scouts said the same thing.

He was somewhat of a threat, but not as big of a threat as Gonzales was. I would agree we are lacking a superstar wide out this year, but we have a lot of good ones.

Hartline hasn't done crap this year
