New Albany or Upper Arlington????
What's the better place to live with 3 little kids? We're relocating and want to meet people and have a good time while we live in the Columbus area? Are people fleeing Upper Arlington for the huge new builds in New Albany? Or will Upper Arlington (south of lane especially) poised to retain it's position as a winner in suburb-land?
What's the better investment at this time? thanks!!!

Both offer stable property values and great schools. There differences are mainly in character and location.
UA - Older homes with more character. Closer to downtown.
New Albany - Newer homes. Further from downtown (outside the outerbelt).
So it depends on your personal tastes.
You might also want to check out Bexley, Dublin, & Powell.

Upper Arlington is very accessible and the homes keep their value - both north and south of Lane. New Albany is miles away from EVERYTHING! UA schools are great.

UA easily! I can actually hear the blood draining from the faces and smell the panic of those who bought big new builds in New Albany over the last couple of years. Bad investment and there is absolutely no character to the area.

Skip New Albany. This area is wayyyyyy over-priced. FYI, every year many people in columbus will do Apple or Pear picking, and guess where do they drive far away to pick apples from the farms? Yes, it's New Albany.
We drove by miles of farms. Minimal good variety of restaurants. No scenic views. The only nearby attraction is Easton, but then you can easily stay in Gahanna to enjoy it. For the life of me I never understand why anyone would choose expensive New Albany, except for the fact that a few retail corporate head-quarters there like Limited Brands, Retail Ventures, etc.
But they are closing doors left and right. So avoid this city.
