Looking for some new friends in Columbus
It seems all of my friends from college have moved away and my husband and I are not from columbus. We are looking to meet some new friends  |

How depressing! I actually went thru the same situation in Cleveland. Victims of Ohio's brain drain I guess...

I've recently moved to Columbus and am in the process of trying to make new friends as I don't want to spend all my time on e-mail and phone w/ friends in old home!
My suggestion - try Meetup.com - they have groups for all different interests. I'm part of the dublin nightlife group, a movie group, and a bookclub.
I've referred my sister-in-law to the site and she has found two different playgroups for her two small children.

I think being in Columbus you have an advantage of making friends and a better life than the rest of OH. The brain drain is not nearly as bad due largely in part to Ohio State. I have found Columbus to be very transient friendly and have met MANY folks from here and all over the country. I have two neighbors that are native CA. I've been pleasantly amazed of the number of Southerners I have met here as well. 
It takes time. Good luck. |

Interesting to find someone who is looking quality people well me & my are wife moving dwn to columbus from POVERTY STRICKEN CLEVELAND THE WORST LOCATION IN THE NATION HAHAHA!!! anyway we left atlanta this yr in march and stayed in columbus for like 2wks we looked for jobs and $$ was running out and we had to lve. No one called for jobs and WHY IN THE HECK I CAME TO CLEVELAND? AND GUESS WHAT THE calls came that tuesday and we left that saturday. So we are moving back indefinetly the end of Jan 2009 so i do not know how we can stay in contact um just post again o and i will look for you repsponse
