Default Has anyone taken music classes at Columbus State Community College?

I want to know has anyone taken music classes at Columbus State? They have voice, keyboard, musicianship, and music theory, just to name a few. I was thinking of taking a couple of classes (voice and keyboard) there and wanted to know how good these classes are. Thanks for your help.

Default Music Instruction

Columbus state is ok for instruction but it is very basic and won't be very customized to what you are trying to learn. When learning voice or an instrument it is always best to try to find a private teacher to learn from.

Thanks, powellacademyofmusic, for your answer. I wasn't sure how structured these classes were. I had been thinking of going to a private teacher. I gave my phone number to a gentlemen I know, to give to someone he knew but that person never called me. I'm kind of far from Powell to take lessons, is there anyone you would recommend in Columbus? I ride the bus. Also, I've checked out "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Music Theory" by Michael Miller from the library. Is that a good book to start with? It seems to be o.k. Thanks for any help.
