Question Single woman house hunting in Columbus

I've found a colonial I like in Hilliard (near Hilliard Davidson high school) - but it seems far from the social life options in Columbus (not looking for bar/club scene, but just places to meet people and hang w/ friends). I've also found a split in Worthington w/ potential...but I know those don't have good resale value.

I'd appreciate any advise. Thanks!

I'm not really clear on your post, CBus_ Transplant. Are you asking if what you have chosen already are good choices, or if you should keep looking? What area of Columbus do you hang out the most? The Short North? German Village? Not that you want to base where you want to live solely on your social life. I know I'm asking alot of questions. I just want to give you the correct answers. Fellow posters, any thoughts?

Short North-comprised of Victorian and Italian Villages. Artsy, lots of restaurants, coffee shops etc...has appreciated a ton within the last couple of years. Little pricey-Lots of charm-historic
German Village-anywhere in the village you can walk to either a coffee shop or restaurant. Merion and Schummacher border the village-less expensive-bigger yards without the higher taxes-great for community-I live here-love it!-Historic 1800's-1920's
Clintonville-More Bohemian, social activism-great single family homes with yards-many built in the 20's
Worthington-I think you know Worthington...
Oh, one more..Grandview. Grandview Avenue makes it great for socializing...great bungalows a rolling hills.
I'm a buyers agent with Dooley and Company and we specialize in the Midtown region. If you are looking for a vibrant social life you may want to stay within the outerbelt (I-270). You have so many options! Columbus is great!

Dooley is a high end outfit that focuses on the Short North and the suburbanites who have decided to pay waaaay too much to update their lives... oh, and Clintonville is in no way bohemian unless you live around North Campus and pretend 43214 instead of 43202 is your home zip.
