Default Options for cable service in Columbus

Time Warner Cable has aggravated me for the last time...

Does anyone know of alternate services for cable in Columbus, OH? I am not looking for anything special. I know I can stay with Time Warner for Internet service and I do not need a home phone, so I am not looking for special packages for service. I just need to know if there are options for basic cable service in Columbus.

Many thanks!

I know of one alternative to Time Warner, but don't know if they parse off basic cable:

It's not cable, but I would go with directtv. I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with time warner. When I lived in Columbus, I hated it.

You have no choice... unless you want one of those chav-tastic dish things on your roof. Yikes!

I was afraid that I would have no real choice outside of them. I will check into Wow, but I suspect they will end up costing me more for substandard service.

Thanks anyway!

WOW, Insight, ATT U-Verse, Verizon Fios, DirecTV, Dish Network, Time Warner.

All of them available in Columbus, some people above are acting like you only have one or two choices. Verizon and ATT might be limited since they are newer but the others are all established and should be available in just about 99% of Columbus and the surrounding areas.

Verizon Fios is not actually available in Columbus yet. I am not sure about U-Verse but all the others you listed above and are much better than Time Warner.

Time Warner announced they are getting rid of 20 channels, including MTV, BET, VH1, Spike, Nickelodeon, etc.....

I live in a condo & am hoping I am able to switch providers (not sure if other cable companies will service my condo complex).

The dispute has been resolved, you should not lose those channels:
