Default Pit bull ban

Does anyone know if the ban has been passed for pit bulls? I've seen that it's been cancelled a few times but was never able to find out if it passed. I hope it hasn't.

I don't know. But if trained correctly, Pit bulls are some of the most obedient/intelligent dogs around. It's a shame that people abuse their athleticism.

Even if they are not banned, most anyone who lives near you and sees you with the dog will instantly consider you a complete loser.

But they won't say it to your face for fear of having their leg taken off.

I don't have to worry about training my bichon. He's not going to maul anyone.

My point exactly. No one wants to live next to someone with these dogs or the people who react/think like the poster I am quoting.

Pit bulls in Ohio

Ohio is the only state that labels a type of dog as vicious and therefore requires that owners abide by all of the regulations affecting vicious dogs regardless of their dog's behavior. These requirements include confining the dog in a locked pen, restraining it on a chain link leash or tether, and purchasing $100,00 liability insurance policy.

I have been around wonderful pit bulls before. However, my dog was also attacked by a loose pit bull. We had to injure it for it to release our dog, then the owners came to us and smashed out our windows with rocks. Animal control came to handle the animal on four legs, the police came to arrest the animals on two legs. Because of this, I can see why there is regulations on these types of dogs...irresponsible owners.

I would love to live next door to Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel and their pit bulls. I wouldn't quite consider them losers. Also President Theodore Roosevelt had a pit bull and he was considered by most not to be a loser. And I forgot Rachael Ray who looks like she can cook really good food. I wouldn't mind having dinner at her house even though her pit bull would be there.

Those examples have nothing to do with the general perception of the type of people who own these dogs.
