Default Suggestions for brake service

Hi,
I need to get brakes installed for Nissan Altima. New to this area, so thought of getting some suggestions from you all.

I stay in Columbus - 43220 area. Do we have any good place where I can get this fixed. I do see ads of Midas about lifetime warranty brakes.

Is the Midas on Henderson Rd, a good place to get this done.
Do we have other local car repair places that get a good job done.

Your valuable inputs will be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

When I lived in Columbus I always went to a place called Auto Emporium, located at 4900 Scioto Darby Rd. Although their place is very modest looking and a little difficult to find at first, I found their repairs to be first rate, and their pricing very fair.

I found them through a neighbor recommendation, and subsequently recommended it to some others seeking repair. I have yet to find anyone who is unhappy with their service. I can verify they stand by their work, a part they installed in one of my older vehicles went bad a couple of months after installation, and they replaced it free of charge.

All of their work held up very well, I'd recommend them to anyone without reservation at all.

Definitely look for a local/privately owned place... the chains everyone has heard of will try to get away with selling you new rotors and all sorts of other stuff you probably do not need. Some of them will even go so far as to tell you they cannot fix anything unless you have everything replaced. They usually say it is company policy and do this when your car is already up on the lift and disassembled. They figure you will probably cave in and just say 'go ahead and do it' then put it on a credit card. Midas, Jiffy, Monro... many of those type of muffler/brake places will try to do this.

North End Wrench in Clintonville has been servicing various cars in my family for years. Dave does a great job.

Google the name for reviews also.
