this is where i visit/stay with a few of the wifes family often. i dont follow that link above at all. grove city is below the national avg. on all crimes, and violent crime is very rare. i personally like the suburb, its a nice quiet bedroom type and people are involved in their kids school/sporting events. and its only 5-6 miles south of downtown on 71.

I see what you are saying. I am planning on moving to Grove City soon. I think those statistics are very wrong. The east side of Columbus I thought was one of the worst areas and is a lighter red than Grove City. I always hear so much crap going on in the eastern parts and many other areas. Very rarely do I hear anything about GC. I hope that site is very wrong. People I know have told me GC was nice.

Grove City Crime
I have lived in GC for about 4 years and a little west of here for about 4 years. As with a lot of subs in Cols, parts of GC is Columbus and Cols schools. We live in this grey area. I pay Cols tax, but GC address. I works for us b/c GC schools have a high tax. We have been the victim of a couple car break ins. As with others that live in the same development. They were clearly just teenagers, b/c they rumaged thru the car and didn't take anything of value. The last time they took the radio. Oh well! I do keep my eye on the police and sheriff reports in the local paper. There do seem to be quite a bit of small stuff. Like what happened to us. But to consider it a high crime or whatever the link states, I don't see that. You're going to get kids and stupid people anywhere you live. as for our experience, I like it here.

I live in Grove City and find crime to be low.
I have heard of these higher richer towns having higher crime.
I guess it depends where you live. I live in a nice neighborhood, where the neighbors look out for one another.

Urbancreast is part of grove city(i think) and it used to be a really bad ghetto back in the 90s but nowadays is mostly abandon. You still have murders over there with the lil crip gang they got.
