wow. OK, whatever you say.
Columbus actually planned for growth quite well. 270 was built far outside of the city. Good thing. Columbus actually has an excellent highway system and well planned development. Use Orlando as an example. They did not plan for the future. The only way to get across town during rush hour in less than an hour is to use a toll road.

So it amuses me to read those things. And right now most of the people that I am with in this office are laughing hysterically at this whole scuttle so I will move on. They find the posts amusing, as well. And, unfortunately, I still have to go back to Cowtown at least once a month (hopefully this will change soon) so I am not completely removed from the area.

They ask me things like, "Does Columbus have an airport?", etc. OK, it's not THAT bad...

Columbus is full of many who are engaged in the cities future. There is a young, energetic, educated population in Columbus. This leads to a city that is more aware of its political power and the activities around.
Anyone who really lives in Columbus, or is involved in activities outside of the home, would know this to be true.
Even on the internet you can see the true spirit of Columbus. Columbus underground is one of my favorite sites and is full of other educated, young professionals like myself.
When I blog i prefer to go there. Everyone should check it out, really interesting and has many updates on actives in the city. CU has a very central city (the real heart of Columbus) focus, rather than suburban.

Very Interesting!
Thanks for the post. I found it quite interesting.
I live in Columbus and love it. We moved here from Dayton, Ohio which was the most boring city in Ohio I'm sure.

lower working class = unions?
Largest in siza and population? It isn't even in the top 25 cities
It's 16th in the US alone.

Columbus' growth has been pretty well-planned. And I give the city leaders a lot of credit for coming up with something as innovative as the Win-Win agreement with the suburbs, as well.
