Exclamation Marysville (and surrounding areas) / Honda

Anyone live in or know about Marysville? I might be moving to the area soon for a job (Honda), but Ive never been there. I live in Newton Falls right now (population around 5,000) and I see Marysville has a population of around 17,000. But id just like to know about the town. What is there to do? What kind of stores does it have? What does it have to offer? Safe? Trying to see what Im getting myself into.

Any apartment suggestions? I want a studio or 1 bdr and a garage. Ive been looking online, but not every apartment place will be listed. Under $600/month would be great. I dont want to pay more than that.

What about the Honda plant? Anybody here work there? PM me, Id like to talk more privately to you if you do.

Try apartmentsearch.com. There are a few places in the area for around $600/month. Did you ask the Honda relocation group to help you find a place? They should offer some assistance.

Can't help you with the towns in the area and what to do in Marysville. I might be moving to the area as well. It seems like you can get a lot of house for your money in Marysville, but I don't know if the area is growing or how the schools are. Other towns to check out....Delaware, Dublin, Plain City, Powell or Hilliard.

Good luck!

Hi! I work in Marysville and live just outside in a small community. I've lived in the area for 15 years. Marysville is a nice town. There are several restaurants here, and still more coming in. Stores are currently in development and we have a Wal-Mart SuperCenter, Kmart, Kroger, some small groceries and there are 3 or 4 hotels in the area. The area not only is host to Honda, but Scotts-Miracle Gro, Goodyear and several other companies. There are gold courses here, we have a movie theater, a bowling alley and several downtown bars. We are close enough to Columbus that it isn't a major trip to go places there for entertainment and shopping as well. There are also several banks. There are several choices for apartments and homes here. there are new communities popping up all the time. There is a number for the Union County Chamber of Commerce...the number is 937-642-6279. They may be able to help you with information about rental homes as well as homes for sell and other useful information. Marysville is a very friendly town. I love it here and I hope you do as well!!

Marysville is a growing town (for the better or worse.) There are a lot of people who work at Honda, in Marysville, but live closer to Columbus on the NW side of the city, or in Dublin (which is very close to Marysville) or Worthington which is a pretty short drive.

I grew up in Plain City, very close to Marysville, but smaller (3,000-4,000) but I have family in Marysville that loves it there. Be assured that anything you need that can't be found in Marysville is nearby in Columbus or Dublin. The schools there are good and in general it is a friendly mid-western town
