It's also not that far of a drive from Detroit. I have been through Ohio, in Cleveland and Cincinnati, but never Columbus. Frankly, I didn't like Ohio but Columbus seems different. Anyone have any opinions on Columbus? I also hear Columbus employers are more willing to hire Franklin grads, is that true?

Have you ever considered Indianapolis? Its similar to Columbus in a lot of ways. Its slightly larger in population. But it has pro sports teams, very affordable cost of living, better job market than the Rust Belt as a whole, and friendlt people. And its best point.....it isnt in OH.

Columbus has really moved up on my list. According to mapquest, it's only 3.5 hours from Detroit. I could come back to Detroit on weekends, go to Tiger games, hangout at the casinos and come back to Columbus. The more I talk to people in Minnesota, the more unfriendly they seem. Sure I have family there, but if the people are that unfriendly and uninviting, it doesn't seem like a good fit, plus I'd be 10-12 hours away from Detroit.
What are some of the major employers in Columbus I could look into?
Also, I'm not going to get murdered in Columbus being a Michigan fan am I?

Read an article in 'Columbus Magazine' yesterday.
It had the top ten reasons Indy was better than Columbus.
Now I don't agree with them all.
But it was a wierd article to have in a Columbus Magazine
