Seriuosly though, you are going to find interesting "characters" everywhere. I have lived in enough places that I could tell you some interesting stories. Even two recent stories come out of GA & NC. The one in metro ATL about a knidnapping/bondage scenario and the Charlotte area one about a man having his wife ***** (I can't even say it ) with their two kids in the house.

OP - Westerville would be great place to live - no worries!
On a serious note, I agree - Westerville is a fine area in which to live, generally speaking.

Destiny4,

Are you aware of the $8,000 tax credit you can receive if you purchase a home before December 1st of this year? Just thought I'd mention it since i'm seeing more and more people who are not aware of this.

Anyway, Lewis Center is quite a diverse area. You also have the opportunity for Westerville and Olentangy Schools in that area depending on where you are. There are three Olentangy High Schools now..... Olentangy Orange, Olentangy Liberty, and Olentangy. And also three Westerville High Schools. Westerville Central, Westerville North, and Westerville South. I teach the percussion program at Olentangy Liberty so I may be a little bias with that school. Haha But I do know that Orange and Olentangy are large diverse schools, and with that I know the communities are as well. Same with the Westerville School systems, since I know quite a few people in that area.

We just moved from the Olentangy area. Lived near Alum creek state park. Great area. Great neighbors. Yes, the taxes are extremely high. And hold on, they will have another tax levy soon. One of the reasons we moved. But on the plus side. Olentangy is one of the best schools. Our son went there. You'll see a few kids driving their parents BMW to school. But all and all its a great school.

I would look towards Gahanna or New Albany if schools is a big deciding factor. The Westerville school system is going in the tank. They are about 12 million in debt and looking to cut a lot of classes and activities.

I vote for Westerville and Dublin for diversity. Also, the areas off Sawmill Road south of 270 down to Bethel Rd. and north into Powell. One example is Riverside Green which is a Dublin address and the children attend the Dublin Schools which are well rated. They even walk to the elementary school.

I work in Westerville - as a realtor, and I find the people here to be friendly, interested in fitness, and family activities. Olde Westerville is a great shopping destination - along State St.
