Greatest driving road in Columbus
If you have an hour to drive around in Columbus what would your route be?

well not necessaryly on the highway. I'm looking for roads along the rivers or lakes or mountains (if there's any). it doesn't have to be fast driving but just a scenery route. for example I found a little trail along the scioto river betwen fishinger and trabue so I'm wondering if there are more like this.

If you drive along the east side of the Scioto River, it is pretty scenic from 5th Ave all the way up to Home Rd.

Thats the only one I can think of as well.
Columbus doesn't have any mountains.

Agree, but should be noted that this is 315 north of 270 - the drive will take less than an hour for sure.

If you like curvy roads, you'll like going down to the Athens area. Hocking Hills is a popular area for local motorists that like to be challenged behind the wheel.

Ohio State Route 26
This suggestion is definitely more than one hour away from Columbus. However, I think you'll find that the scenery, hairpin turns and elevation changes make it well worth the trip. There is even an old covered bridge along the route.
1. From Columbus, I-70 east to exit 202 (SR 800).
2. Follow SR 800 south to just beyond Woodsfield, OH and subsequently make a right turn onto SR 26.
3. SR 26 winds through the Wayne National Forest and ends in Marrieta, OH.
4. From Marrieta there are numerous routes that you can follow back to Columbus.
Traffic on the route is generally light. However, there are limited opportunities for passing. There are a few unmarked turnouts though few people in this state understand their use.

I'd pick the I-270 belt. Columbus, Ohio has too many single lane roads.
