What are the rules?
I am a non-smokers and I am very happy that here in Florida you can not smoke wherever you want (sorry if you are an smoker, I respect your right to smoke, please respect my right to non toxic air)

Still it bothers me that smokers do get out of restaurants to smoke, but do it right next to the entrance door. I have to hold my breathe to get in and out. Same with offices and any other indoor place.

I can not enjoy a nice outdoor meal because I am almost certain to have a smoker close by.

I believe even parks should have designated areas, cigarrete smoke is not my fragance of choice when I am trying to enjoy a picnic with my family.

So, how is it in Columbus...? Where do smokers smoke?

P.S. I went to Spain on vacation and I loved it, but I can not live there because everybody smokes everywhere and a lot!

It depends on where you are in Columbus.

What is true across the city and the entire state is that indoor smoking is banned expect in places like "hooka" bars (places where people smoke flavored tobacco."

In Columbus smoking is not banned outside of establishments or on completely outdoor patios.

Especially in the more urban areas, around downtown/central city, there are many restaurants that are set in retail buildings on the street scape. Many of these have patios where people can eat and dine. You will find some smoking on these patios, depending on the establishment. Also, people tend to line up on the sidewalk outside of bodegas, bars, and pubs.

In the more suburban areas or mall type settings patios are less common and people do not tend to cluster outside of a strip plaza to smoke while on looking a parking lot.
