My wife dog and I sit on our roof deck in German Village and watch it while we relax.

It used to be we would go with the masses.
Now it's fun to just sit and cuddle and drink wine.

Sorry, couldn't resist sharing. But it's quickly becoming my favorite family holiday.

That sounds great, Tenzo. I hated the crowds we had to deal with here in Dayton. Kudos to you for not having to deal with the mass of people. Sounds like you had some great views?

Fireworks displays are much more extensive in Ohio than out here in California. I really miss the big way y'all do fireworks, our displays probably have half the pyrotechnics.

Of course, with our super dry environment out here, once a firework touches the ground, the action really starts!!!

LOL I was talking to friends from Philly on the 4th who also live out in California (San Jose), and they also mentioned how "lame" the fireworks were out there compared to back home.
