Default Need some suggestoin for buying a home in Columbus

hi

I'm currently working in downtown Columbus, and looking for homes between 200,000 to 250,000, can someone give me some suggestion on which part of Columbus to go? Need a good school and safe neighborhood. I heard Dublin and Lewis Center are good, however, Dublin is kind of expensive, any other good places?

All help would be appreciated. Thanks

Default Columbus areas

Hi,

I think you are correct in looking at Lewis Center. A little cheaper, and very nice is the Sunbury area. Dublin is pricey There is also the area north of I270 off Sawmill Road. Columbus and Powell addresses in there, and some neighborhoods go to the Dublin schools and some the Worthington schools.

MOD CUT

I would suggest looking at Westerville, Ohio. Its one of the top 15 in nation to live. Also the housing is less than Dublin/Lewis Center. (most of the time)

I'd go Bexley.

Lewis Center or Worthington or Westerville. Those are the three I would go to in that price range. Bexley is nice but surrounded by some very bad areas. Easton is the same way, nice but some very shady areas. Also Olentangy, Worthington and Westerville are all very good school districts.

I don't know, I still go Bexley.

Some of the 'burbs feel a little over-sterelized and "Stepford Wife"-ish, if you know what I mean (again, true of all new 'burbs). Still, if that's your style, C-Bus 'Burbs will most likely be paradise.

There are so many "nice" areas in and around Columbus it is hard to make a recommendation without knowing more about what your goals are. Have you considered hiring a Realtor to help you with your search? I admit I am bias because I am a Realtor but we are professionals who are in the business of helping people achieve their goals. Best regards, Mr Butch
