Default One month to go!!

Hello Everyone!
My husband and I are planning to move to columbus within the next month or so and we can not decide on the area to live in. He says the east side but I say the north side. A little background... I am 25 and he is 31 we have three children (6,2,3months) and we are both college students studying online. We have seen a couple of apartments on are vist there in march but not sure if it safe enough for are family. I know there is crime every where you go but I don't want it to be so bad that the kids can not go play outside without some type of drama occuring. Since living in detroit I know all about drama! We would like a place that is diverse where black and whites mingle together. i do not want to live in a place where you look at the area and there is all white people or all black people and we are the odd balls in the crowd. I checked out a couple apartments called Hickory Grove and Trenton Ridge if possible can you provide me some feedback on these two areas?

I live a few miles away from Hickory Grove, it's a pretty new area and should be a good area. Most of the south and east sides have a good racial mix, while north and west area like Dublin and Worthington are mainly white. Groveport Madison Schools are overcrowded though.

There's a good recreation center down in Groveport also with pools and sports, if you want to take the kids out for some summer fun.

I will not recommand that area for a family. I've lived there before and its full of crimes, loud music, and the smell of wheat (drugs). The rent might be cheap but you will not like it. I will recommand that you look into areas like 161, north cleveland ave right at 161 and norht, maple canyon, schrock rd, etc.
