Default Advice on where to rent 3BR in Columbus area

We will likely be moving to Columbus in the next month (from Indianapolis). We'd like to rent at first while we get to know the area. Just sold our house here in Indy. My husband's job will be downtown in the Arena District. We have a young child, but not school age yet so I'm not as concerned with school districts while we're renting. Would prefer to be north of I-70 because our families live in northern OH. Budget for renting is probably no more than $1100 or so (more like $800-1000 would be better!), and we'd prefer 3 bedrooms. Safety is important, plus a decent commute. The area we rent doesn't have to be the same area we end up buying. I can answer more questions about our preferences if anything would be helpful. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

Grandview is the best bet

safe & very close to arena district... grandview is pretty centrally located, maybe slightly north of 70 I believe, but it's very nice & a lot of people like living there.
