You should be more specific in your post. Every neighborhood will have high end areas. I would say the following:

1. Upper Arlington--everything is overpriced in my opinion
2. Dublin---Especially Tartan Fields area
3. Powell---There are plenty of gated communities
4. New Albany
5. Short North
6. German Village

Inside of I-270:
-Upper Arlington: just west of downtown. I agree a bit overpriced, but there are some very lovely homes and neighborhoods.
-Bexley: just east of downtown down main st. Capital University is here. You do drive through some pretty shady areas inthe short distance between here and downtown along Main St. but crossing one street into Bexley is like stepping into another world. It's very nice and safe
-German Village: bordering the south side of downtown. Lots of little shops and big brick houses, especially around Schiller Park. Very nice pocket of Columbus. A tad more of an urban feel than the rest
-Worthington: a little farther north of downtown on High St. near I-270. Has some nice areas

Outside of I-270:
-Powell: north central. no big box stores, but is close to the mall areas. Has tried to retain a more rural feel if that is possible in a metro area this size. also more hilly wooded land than most of the other areas IMO
-Dublin: northwest. partly inside of I-270, but mostly out. lots of pretty areas along the river
-Westerville: north-northeast. Has some upper class housing, especially around Hoover Resevoir
-Galena: a little farther out, just past Westerville. More rural than the rest if that is what you are looking for, but there is more development going on up that direction and a mix of expensive homes, affordable homes, and farms

Obviously there are lots of other great neighborhoods around Columbus. I think that is actually one the cities strongest selling points. The areas I listed, however, are the ones where I think you will find the majority of the upper end of the wealth distribution. Hope that helps

MissingIndiana did a very nice job of writing up some areas although I would add New Albany to the "Outside the 270" list.

Thanks for the compliment to behindenemylines. And yes, New Albany is clearly one of the wealthier suburbs as well. So sorry I forgot that one. I would describe it as one of the newer developing suburbs and one that will probably develop much more of that stereotypical 'suburban feel' as it continues to grow, with not much of a real downtown core or character of its own. This is opposed to say Westerville which has been around probably as long as Columbus and has it's own historical downtown area, or even Powell which has managed to maintain its village like quaint atmosphere and fewer cookie cutter developments.

This wasn't meant to dis New Albany as it has some safe, clean neighborhoods and great schools. Blendon Woods Metro park is also nice and they have some top notch golf courses. It just is what it is. Hopefully I did not offend.

You didn't offend me by any means. I just know NA has average home sale values of over $600k so I figured it should be included in your list as the OP wanted a list of higher end neighborhoods.

Are you trying to map out which areas to conduct criminal activity?

I'm going to start a thread asking for garage codes.
