I don't think Toledo needs one either, especially because of their proximity to MGM Grand and other casinos across the border.

Yeah, but Art wasn't poor. Do I have to understand the mindset of wealthy athletes as well?

Art is poor now. And why is that? Because he did poor people things.

I believe it was Sports Illustrated that told the headline, "70% of NFL players are bankrupt or in financial distress within 2 years of retiring."

Do I need to go on about rap stars?
How about lottery winners?
How about the old, homeless man that was on Oprah? The producers put a briefcase of $100k in a dumpster he frequents, and he ends up blowing all of the money in no time.

Wealthy people are wealthy because they don't do poor people things.

Art is poor not only because of gambling but drug addiction too. Charles Barkley got in trouble because he had too much money and didn't know what to do with it. He is still wealthy though.

I know a lot of "common sense" people that still gamble more than twice a year. They don't take their mortgage payments with them, however. That's the difference. Those people who blow their money aren't these kind of people. They didn't really have to work for their money, it was handed to them.

I have faith in people that they have learned from their mistakes and won't depend on gambling their paychecks away to get ahead.

I see. Stupid poor people. Why can't they make good decisions like wealthy people, right? Bernard Madoff - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So wealthy people don't always do wealthy people things?

Odd.
