Notice to those in Groveport/Madison Twp. (Columbus: water heater, softeners)

Don't drink your water unless you get it from Columbus.

There was a meeting held last night that showed that there is a high amount of lead and mercury, along with parasites in the drinking water. People have supposedly been getting poisoned for the last two years. The water is barely a step above sewage as they do minimal water purification.

Apparently the local water company is also getting sued for fraud and price gouging; some customers were getting charged 4x the amount that Columbus residents are charged for using the same amount of water.

Our neighbors two doors down have had brown water for the past three years and the water company fails to do anything about it. Our family and others have actually had their water softeners, water heaters and plumbing ruined by the acidic/parasitic water, and the water company wants thousands to fix the damage.

Just wanted everyone to be aware of the situation. Hopefully they get what they deserve.
