You tell me?

There have been recent threads about worst parts of Columbus and now one about things to worry about. What things make Columbus a great place to live or what are your favorite things to do or attractions to visit.

Clean, safe and relatively inexpensive place to raise a family. Many good public schools in areas with reasonably priced housing (buy and rentals).

While this may put some people off, I find the spirit behind OSU rather amazing. Then again, that may be a biased statement coming from a fellow associated with OSU.

^What do you mean by that? That OSU is overblown in Columbus or that you think it's a nice thing about living in Columbus? Personally, coming from a city that puts more emphasis on pro sports, theater and the arts, I couldn't believe a city as big as Columbus was so "gung-ho" about the Buckeyes, and it seemed like nothing else mattered on Saturdays! I can't say the same thing happens here (Minneapolis) for anything, especially the freaking Gophers!!

After talking to my friends who went to OSU:

You can watch the bucks on Saturdays and you are still close enough to Cleveland if you want to experience some sort of culture! A win-win!

A great Metro Park system and lots of great livable neighborhoods or 'suburbs' that are near the city center
