With CompUSA gone, where do you shop for computer stuff?
Now that CompUSA has closed half of its retail stores (all of them in NY are gone), where do you shop for computers, accessories, and software? CompUSA had by far the best selection of everything, especially software.
Buying software online is one thing (I'm an Amazon addict) but when hardware-shopping I like to SEE before I buy.
Where do you go?

TigerDirect.com Super Buys - Computer Parts, PC Components, Desktop Computers, Laptops, Notebooks is a safe bet. Since i came to the US I have not bought hardware or software in an actualy shop, I bought it all at Tiger Direct. I did go to a couple of stores in Amarillo and Albuquerque but go the "duh" look from the guys at the shop so I cant stand talking to clueless people about what I need. Especially when theyre selling Vista machines with 512Ram telling customers itll be great.

I've looked at Best Buy and Circuit City, but online is okay too, (ebay or tigerdirect.com).

I buy from the Apple Store and recently purchased some stuff at
JR.com: J&R Music and Computer World - Audio, Video, Digital Cameras, Camcorders, TV, DVD, iPods, Networking, Satellite, GPS, MP3, Notebooks, Apple
If you are in the NYC area JR is a great place to visit, look around and compare products. They also seem to have a terrific service department online and they more than satisfied my needs over the phone and beat their competitors by more than 20%.

Newegg.com is another option. Has some GREAT deals.
Frys.com
You can still do CompUSA.com
CDW.com
Then there is always local shops. Or the computer shows. I know some of the large metro areas have computer shows about once a month. Be careful there tho.

I do miss the CompUSA store that was close to my house..
I've also gone to Fry's Electronics, and that's where I go now. I don't care for Best Buy too much.
