OK..........kind of scared to try that right now.........afraid I could screw something up.

But........when I do try.......do I have to uninstall the 9.5 first and how do I do it? Then just put the 9.0 disk in and run it? I will lose my favorite places, right?

Sometimes I wonder if I got a bum computer. Dell Studio 1558. I have thought of taking it to a computer repair place but I have to go out of town to do it.

Thanks for all of your help anyway.

I am going to be an @ss and throw a cheesy idea (don't stone me to death since I don't know or use AOL):

- What happens (if at all applicable) if you run AOL 9 in "Windows XP Compatibility mode"?

Shouldn't even have to. I have an copy of 9.0VR and have installed it for people with Win7 without any issues.

Then I wonder why would AOL tech support told the OP that it was not compatible with Win7? I know this is AOL tech support we are talking about but still....that is crappy TS!

I think you answered your own question. All I know is that I've installed new Win7 PCs and had the owner ask for AOL so I installed 9.0VR which is the latest I have. Besides, there's very little software that will work on Vista and not Win7.

Maybe the AOL guy is related to the guy who said Comcast isn't compatible with Win7.
