How to monitor Computer Usage?
Well, my computer is my pride and joy as I have spend quite a few dollars in building, however, I have not given anyone permission to use my computer(roommates) and I would like to know if there is a program that could be hidden in the background to let me know if someone has accessed any files or view everything that they have viewed on the Internet. I know I can see what they have used on the Internet through "History" but I don't think they may be smart enough to delete it, but you never know.
I don't want to password protect my computer as I find them rather annoying to punch in every time I fire up my comp. and I would like some solid proof of them using my comp without the knowing that I'm monitoring them.
Anyone knows, please give me some advice and help.
Thanks a lot.

Password protect your computer and quit worrying about it. Life is too short to create confrontational situations.

There is a way to lock it but I'm not sure how that works. They may not be sophisticated enough to know how to get in:

Manually locking your computer

Four methods are available for manually locking your computer:
Method 1

To immediately lock your computer, simultaneously press the Windows logo key (typically beside the Spacebar) and the l key (the letter L).
Method 2 (Windows Vista in non-Classic mode only)

In the Start menu, click the lock icon.
Method 3

Press Ctrl-Alt-Del, and then click Lock this computer or Lock Computer.
Method 4

To create a desktop shortcut that will lock your computer when you double-click it:
  1. Right-click the desktop, select New, and then Shortcut. This will open the Create Shortcut Wizard.
  2. For the location of the item, type: %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation
  3. Click Next.
  4. Type an appropriate name for this shortcut, and then click Finish.
You will now have a shortcut on your desktop that will lock your computer when you double-click it.

If the ultimate inconvenience of typing is a password is just too much to bear, research a biometric solution such as a USB fingerprint reader.
