Got I hate 7.X and when a company "fixes" something that wasn't broke. eg I used to be able to just click on the button in the AIM box for the radio - now you have to click thru menus, bring up another browser tab etc etc. Brilliant.

Anyway, how the heck do you save an IM (conversation)? Going to AIM help directs me thru it the old way. Thx

Why don't you switch back to the last version that was working the way you liked it?

Tempting. But if I can find out how to save IMs it won't be worth it, esp since the AOL yahoos kept hitting me up with "upgrade now!" messages, which got verrrrry old.

Have you considered Pidgin as an alternative?

It's open source software and works with AIM as well as a number of other instant messaging networks.

I've been using it for a few years and have no real complaints.

Pidgin, the universal chat client

I just use Meebo:

Meebo - Connecting AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Facebook, MySpace messengers

or Yahoo's IM beta site:

Yahoo! Messenger for the Web

these days. No need for a separate client at all, and both save chat history.
