She has asked this question, and no one knows how to help her on another board. Thouht I would ask here.

~I did not back up everything on my computer...and of course my computer hard drive died. Is there any way of transferring my music and play lists from my I Pod to my new computer?

It depends on what went wrong with the hard drive, without knowing that and actually looking at it we can't say either way. Worst case you'd have to ship it to a data recovery company, which can get expensive. A good repair shop would be able to determine the answer to your question.

What does the crashed computer's hard drive data have to do with transferring good data on an Ipod to a new good computer's hard drive?

A possible answer. Read about manual syncing. I would advise doing a bit more research and make sure the info is correct as there is a notice at the top of the page that it needs improvement...

I think there are programs that will pull off music from your iPod and transfer it to your computer. Google that...
