My cousin told me that he has a virus on his computer but he doesn't know the name of it.

What anti-virus software should I bring with me when I go and see him in a few weeks? Should I bring AVG, ZoneAlarm, Spybot, Adaware, etc. ?

Keep in mind I have no clue on the OS or anything like that but I am going to assume it has Windows XP

Most likely, its spyware, not a virus. Go to SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! and get their portable scanner right before you head over. You can run that on his PC (in safe mode if needed) and it'll hopefully knock it out or at least knock it down enough that you can get some control of the system. Malwarebytes is another good one. I use Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus. Burn them into a CD so you don't risk infecting your flash drive in his computer.

You would do well to search this forum for links to tools you can download so you have antivirus tools on autobooting CDs that you can take with you.
