I thought my iPod Nano died... I last played it connected to my car stereo and then it didn't work. Connected it to my ON computer with an iPod cable and it would never turn on, even after multiple insertions and pressing the middle button a long time to resurrect it.
Then I did the trick that worked the last time my computer resurrected my iPod - I left the iPod connected to the computer when it shut off. Then I turned the computer back on, and the iPod worked / was resurrected! It seems like the "shock" of the computer turning on will resurrect a dead iPod, so the next time your iPod is dead try my trick!
What other ways have you used to resurrect an iPod?
I leave it sit, then forget about, and a couple months later I find it and say, "Wow, forgot about this old thing. Wonder if it still works? Let me see...." and lo and behold it turns on!
