Maggie, if you want us to help you, please provide the requested information in full detail.
Again what is the exact name of the .DLL file that it can't launch please?
Take a screen shot if that is easier and attach it to your next post.
Also what is the version of your Windows and, if applicable, the current service pack installed on it?
You will also provide us which suggestions/actions you have taken so far so that we know if you are following our instructions at all or not. Forget about what others in other forums said or what you read elsewhere, if you are here asking for us to help, commit to our help, ok?
My idea to resolve this problem would be to:
1) Install Apoint utility again is it is not currently installed.
2) If and when you get the error message, write down the name and location (directory path) of the .dll file that is not launching.
3) Then uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller and reboot your computer afterward regardless of getting prompted to do so or not.
4) Unregister the .dll in question in case it wasn't properly unregistered before by: START > RUN > type: cmd > OK. In the Command Line window, type: regsvr32 /u "C:\directory path of the dll file\file name.dll" and press ENTER.
5) Browse to the location of the .dll file and remove it.
6) Reboot your system again.
7) Re-install the latest version that is available (sometimes and older version is the most compatible but for now try the newest version available).
8) Reboot again to check.
PS. Between step 6 and 7, running
Autoruns to see if the list shows any "File not found" entries and removing them as well might be a good idea but for now, I will just mention it as a side note if the above doesn't resolve the issue.
